What Is One Billion Rising Winter Haven

On and around Valentine's Day 2014 Winter Haven, FL will participate with hundreds of other cities around the globe to increase awareness of abuse to women and girls through dance, art, and education.

Winter Haven Rising was inspired by the global movement One Billion Rising. (www.onebillionrising.org)

On Valentine's Day 2013 over 203 countries and many cities in the United States took part in One Billion Rising celebrations and events. The members of the Sage-ing Program wish to make certain Winter Haven will participate in this important movement in 2014.
